Academics at Tsuri Academy brings together everything related to how and what our children learn – from our Grade 000 and Grade 00 programmes to the experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom.

GRADE 000 AND GRADE 00
At Tsuri Academy, our learning journey is designed to help children discover, explore and grow with confidence. Through Grade 000 and Grade 00, each stage builds on the one before, moving from early discovery towards greater independence, school readiness and a strong foundation for the years ahead, while recognising that every child develops at their own pace and learns in their own unique way.

Building the Foundations for Confident Learning
Grade 000 is a year of discovery and development, where children learn through purposeful play, songs, stories, hands-on experiences, movement, creativity and nature. Children get to know their bodies, families and the world around them, gain independence and confidence and discover God’s love, building the foundations they need for their next stage of learning.
At this stage, learning is naturally woven into the rhythm of each day. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, make choices, try new things and develop their growing independence. Through caring relationships and purposeful experiences, they begin to build the confidence, communication, social skills and curiosity that will support them throughout their schooling journey.

Building School Readiness Through Purposeful Learning
Grade 00 builds on the foundations of Grade 000, with children becoming more confident, independent and ready to engage with guided learning experiences. At this stage, children are encouraged to ask questions, follow instructions, express their ideas and apply what they discover.
Through purposeful play, exploration and practical experiences, children develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need for their next step. They continue to grow in faith, character and kindness while building the foundations for a confident start to their formal schooling journey.

LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
Education at Tsuri extends beyond the classroom. We believe children learn best when they can connect what they discover in the classroom with the world around them. Our natural surroundings provide opportunities to explore, observe, question, grow and discover through meaningful outdoor experiences.
Through nature, agriculture and farming, children develop an appreciation for the world around them while beginning to understand:
