A WELCOMING AFTERNOON EXPERIENCE
Our Aftercare programme provides a safe, familiar and nurturing environment for children in Grades 000–00 who remain at school after the formal school day. We understand that afternoons are an important part of a child’s day too, so our programme gives children time to unwind, play, socialise and enjoy relaxed, supervised activities in a setting they know and feel comfortable in.
Aftercare is designed to give families peace of mind while ensuring that children continue to feel cared for, connected and engaged until they are collected.
Aftercare runs from 12:30 to 17:30 on applicable school days, with two flexible options available: Full Week (Regular) or Ad Hoc, allowing families to choose the arrangement that best suits their needs.
AFTERCARE AT A GLANCE
Our Aftercare programme provides a safe, familiar and nurturing environment for children who need care beyond the school day. The afternoon is designed to give children time to relax, recharge, play and continue learning in a relaxed and supervised setting.
The programme includes:
- Supervised care from 12:30 to 17:30
- Lunch and an afternoon snack at approximately 15:00
- Age-appropriate play and recreational activities
- Quiet time and rest where appropriate
- Homework and educational activities where suitable
- A safe and nurturing environment where children can relax, socialise and feel cared for
Families choose their usual attendance arrangement — Full Week (Regular) or Ad Hoc — when completing the Aftercare Application Form.

AFTERCARE FEES (2027)

- Annual fee: R9,500 per year
- Monthly fee: R800 per month (12 monthly payments)
- Ad hoc daily rate: R150 per day
Fees are payable in advance. Aftercare fees are separate from tuition fees. Holiday care is currently not available.
Waiting Class (12:30–13:00) is free of charge. Children not collected by 13:00 will automatically go to Aftercare at the full daily ad hoc rate.

12:30–13:00 – Lunch & settling in
13:00–15:00 – Homework, quiet time & activities
15:00 – Snack
15:15–17:30 – Supervised play & collection
This is a typical daily schedule. Activities and times may vary according to the needs of the learners, school activities and operational requirements.
Waiting Class and Ad Hoc Aftercare
WAITING CLASS
12:30–13:00 · NO COST
For collection of children between 12:30 and 13:00. Waiting Class is free of charge.
Children not collected by 13:00 will automatically go to Aftercare, and the full daily ad hoc rate (R150) will apply.
Waiting Class and Ad Hoc Aftercare are optional services – extra support for busy families.
AD HOC AFTERCARE
12:30–17:30
Need a little extra time?
Ad hoc Aftercare is available when parents are unable to collect their child at 12:30.

Please provide advance notice where possible.
APPLYING FOR AFTERCARE
To apply for Aftercare, please complete the 2027 Aftercare Application Form, available to download from the Resources section of our website or from the school office. The form provides the information needed to process your child’s Aftercare request.
Aftercare places are subject to availability, and submitting an application does not automatically guarantee placement. A place will only be confirmed once the application has been reviewed and approved by the school.

COLLECTION AND LATE COLLECTION
Learners may only be collected by the parent/account payer or a person authorised by the parent/account payer. The school may ask any person collecting a learner for identification.
Aftercare closes at 17:30 and learners must be collected by then. Waiting Class closes at 13:00.
Late collection fee: R50 per 15 minutes. Repeated late collection may result in additional charges and/or a review or withdrawal of the learner’s Aftercare placement.
If you will not be able to collect your child in time, please arrange for them to attend Aftercare.
FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS
Aftercare includes lunch and an afternoon snack, served at approximately 15:00, to help keep children nourished and comfortable throughout the afternoon. Meals and snacks form part of the care provided and are planned with young children in mind.
Please inform the school of any food allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements before your child starts Aftercare. This allows the school to make the necessary arrangements and ensure that your child’s dietary needs are understood and appropriately accommodated.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
We understand that family schedules and childcare needs can change. If you need to cancel Aftercare or change your child’s agreed attendance arrangement or frequency, one (1) calendar month’s written notice is required. This allows the school to plan staffing, resources and daily arrangements accordingly.
Monthly Aftercare fees are payable in advance and are based on the agreed attendance arrangement rather than the number of days attended. Fees are therefore not pro-rated for partial attendance, absences, early collection or days when Aftercare is not used.
Any changes to your child’s Aftercare arrangement should be communicated to the school in writing and will take effect once the required notice period has been fulfilled.
